Making Cat Attractant (Nepetalactone)

Literature for full synth that contains CATalytic cycle: In this video I am making Nepetalactone, a natural component of the catnip plant and some other plants. First I try to extract out Nepetalactones from dried catnip via a soxhlet extraction, but I was unsuccessfull in separating out the nepetalactones.
