“Seventy-Six Trombones” is a rousing march composed by Meredith Willson for “The Music Man” in 1957. Willson was well-versed in the American march, having played in John Philip Sousa’s band in the 1920’s. The number of 76 trombones is likely a reference to 1776, making this a perfect march for America’s Independence Day! Arranged for Theatre Organ by Harry Garland.
