Snow chaos in New York and Ohio! Lake-effect snowstorm. Ice Age or Global Warming?

On Tuesday, heavy snow covered parts of northern and western New York state. More than three million people were under snow warnings. The storm continued all night. The snowfall rate exceeded 3 cm per hour. Wind gusts blew at a speed of about 60 km/h. Lake effect snowstorms continued to hit the region, creating dangerous travel conditions and closing schools. Some parts of Ohio also saw up to a 30 cm of snow, according to the Weather Service. Hundreds of crews are working across the state to clear roads. Lake effect snowstorms occur when the Great Lakes have not yet frozen for the season and strong winds blow over them. Narrow bands of snow can then quickly accumulate. #snow #snowfall #blizzard
