This video introduces to you the “u“ step that is one of the most common steps in Bolognese fencing - you can find this type of stepping combined with a guard change (or a strike) and lateral movement almost everywhere in our system of fighting. It is an essential tool to learn and understand if one wants to move the blade in a manner that simultaneously allows us to attack and defend ourselves without leaving our perfectly formed guard.
