I hope you get to walk amongst the beautiful fossils, found at low tide- along the Jurassic Coast ! The sea erodes these fossils away rapidly along the Jurassic Coast. Geologically speaking these fossils will be taken away very soon -“the sea giveth and the sea taketh away!” I hope you find some fossils along the Jurassic Coast-at low tide. Sometimes fossil hunting turns out to be treasure hunting, especially when you are trying a bit of sieving. The Jurassic Coast really does have some stunning fossils. I recommend wearing safety glasses and sturdy rubber gloves when hammering the right rocks. Remember the cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Keep away from the dangerous cliffs. The best fossils are washed out onto the beaches at low tide, by the sea’s actions. Look out for the slippery seaweed on the ledges and rock
