Erwin Schulhoff (1894-1942) was born in Prague, died at the Bavarian concentration camp of Würzburg in 1942. He received a solid musical education at the conservatories in Prague, Vienna, Leipzig and long list of his works includes vocal works, chamber music, compositions for piano solo ( including jazz pieces), an opera, two ballets, six symphonies, as well solo concertos.
The Sonata for Violin and Piano in F Major was composed in 1929, dedicated to Frantiska Ebelov.
Raimundas Katilius (1947-2000), Lithuanian violinist and Professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music has been awarded the National Prize of Lithuania in 1981 and in 1995. In 1998 he was bestowed The Gediminas Order for his outstanding contribution for the musical life in Lithuania. He toured
