Part 5 of the piano cycle, Pegasus’ Travels A work for solo piano work by the great English/Australian composer, Julian Cochran. Pegasus’ Travels comprised five parts, and whilst large independent works in themselves, each part undergoes increasingly deep transformations of the same fixed musical subjects. Julian Cochran writes of Pegasus: “Pegasus’ Travels represents fives journeys of Pegasus over vast distances, covering exotic lands, unexpected encounters and colourful circumstances.“ “Pegasus – the magnificent winged stallion in ancient Greek mythology – originally carried thunder and lightning for Zeus in his palace.
