BMW 750iL Security Limousine Production, Armour Testing and Design – Historic Footage

The BMW 750iL Security Limousine, also known in short as the “BMW 750iL S”, was an armoured version of the third-generation BMW 7 Series (E38). This bullet and explosives-proofed limousine was offered for nearly a decade, from the mid-80’s to the mid-90’s. It added 950 kg of security measures, including armouring, blast-resistant tyres, fire suppression, an air filtration system and even had storage for up to three firearms (with spherical gunports in the doors).
