As with all fly patterns it’s a journey. In this case the original nayat version swam and fished excellently and caught well. However tying them was awkward, so I’ve improved on the tying steps and thought I’d share a quick tutorial. You can substitute the nayat for a predator style dubbing, but for durability and little to no fouling I’d recommend you invest in some good quality nayat. Pro Tip: Nayat cuts well as the hairs are similar thickness from base to tip. Cut before tying in, blend by hand to taper and run a comb through.
