Pestalozzi Village (1963)

Battle, Sussex. Three young Tibetan children and a Tibetan woman walk across a typically English village green. They walk past an English pub then through a gateway to The Pestalozzi Children’s Village. Various shots of a Tibetan monk preparing a shrine and a young girl bowing towards the shrine and placing a piece of fabric onto the shrine. It features a picture of the Dalai Lama. Other children enter the room. The children are refugees and will be expected to follow the Dalai Lama’s wishes that they train to be Doctors, Nurses, Missionaries and Teachers.
