Obedience (1930)

No title. M/S of two outbuildings under some trees. A man is standing on the roof of one of the buildings. An Alsatian dog jumps up onto the roof and attacks the man whilst a woman encourages the dog. Dog pulls at the mans coat as the woman eggs him on. M/S of the woman lying on the ground tied up. The dog chews on the rope - presumably in an attempt to free the woman. It looks rather bizarre as the woman is lying there pretty motionless. Dog climbs up a high wooden wall and jumps down the other side. We see this feat in slow motion. We then see the woman holding a hoop in the air and a dog running and jumping through it. We see this again in slow motion. One of the dogs then jumps through a ring of fire and over a burning blanket. “And to any considerate owner he is a great companion and faithful friend. C/U of the dog wearing glasses and with a pipe in his mouth - cute. He and his owner read a newspaper. Was an item in Eve’s Film Review issue number 455. FILM ID:
