Glebe Ice Skating Rink, Chelsea, London. L/S of a group of young children on skates being giving an ice skating lesson by Valerie Moon (a gold medalist). The children are taught how to stand on skates and how to pose. Anita Dent is one of the young skaters. Two little girls point their feet and holding out their skirts. Valerie demonstrates the “drag“ a kneeling pose. 4 year old Susan Thornton “takes the plunge“ but her younger sister Vanessa finds it “precarious“. Valerie demonstrates some impressive spins - ending with the splits. She wears a short skirted skating outfit - chilly! Two parents watch proudly from the balcony - they are Mr and Mrs Gregory.
