Various shots of flower arrangements and women at work. M/Ss of the women as they daintily place flowers in a vase. Pamela Drake is the teacher and gives tips on using fruit and vegetables in place of hothouse blooms. Another florist uses asparagus fern and broccoli leaves. C/U of the arrangement. A bunch of grapes is attached to another display. M/S of another creation taking shape.
An ordinary cooking cabbage has the centre taken out and replaced with pink rhododendrons - this frankly looks hideous! Another display features lots of vegetables - mushrooms, tomatoes, carrots and peppers.
Narrator ends by saying “As well as being artistic, the flower displays of tomorrow look appetising.“
