Full title reads: “The Prime Minister speaks to the Nation“. London. Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin gives morale boosting speech from his desk, probably in Downing Street. The speech concerns World politics and Britain’s part in it. Baldwin claims that it is Britain’s confidence in industry, finance and in its own citizens that sets it apart from other more troubled countries in Europe. His speech is interspersed with shots of German troops marching, bombed out buildings in Spain as a result of Spanish Civil War and shots of rural Britain (sheep being led to pasture, quaint villages) and the Bank of England.
