Heavy rains from the remnants of Ida caused record flooding not seen since Hurricane Agnus hit this area in 1972. The Schuylkill River is Norristown/Bridgeport crested at 26.8 feet setting a new record since 25.1 feet in 1972. Rescue crews were still out into the morning hours in Bridgeport, PA picking up victims from their flooded homes. In Collegeville, PA Record high waters from the Perkiomen Creek destroyed businesses and ripping the sides off of homes. Upstream in Royersford receding water from the Schuylkill River revealed a parking lot with cars that were completely submerged earlier.
