08-13-21 Taylorsville, CA Dixie Fire destroys homes in Taylorsville and fire protection in Westwood

***NOT FOR BROADCAST*** Contact Brett Adair with Live Storms Media to license. brett@ Property damage from the Dixie Fire in Taylorsville, CA today as fire damaged property on Diamond Mountain Rd and N Arm Rd in the Indian Valley region of Plumas County, CA. The Dixie Fire has been burning since July 13 in several counties of California and has destroyed over 500 homes including the entire town center of Greenville, CA, about seven miles away from the damage sustained today in the same region. Video also show extensive fire protection preparation and fuel reduction efforts in the Westwood, CA region about 30 miles North of Taylorsville and at risk from the same Dixie Fire that caused damage today. Bulldozers and other heavy equipment is widening fire breaks along State Highway 36 and along local roads to protect the communities of Westwood, Clear Creek and the Lake Almanor Peninsula from the Dixie Fire that continues to burn.
