Here, she plays the eternal Blue Danube waltz by Johann Strauss II with five string players from the Wiener Philharmoniker, of which she is the principal harpist. The musicians are the orchestra’s concertmaster Rainer Honeck, violinist Benjamin Morrison, viola player Gerhard Marschner, cellist Raphael Flieder, and double bass player Michael Bladerer.
On the album, Anneleen Lenaerts explains: “As a reflection and celebration of the journey so far, I have selected pieces from both the operatic and symphonic worlds that are special to me and tell a story about my life in the Wiener Philharmoniker.
