THUNDERSTORM 😬 Catapult Launch! - US Navy EA-18G EA-18G Cockpit View - Original Unedited and Wet
EA-18G Growler catapult shot off the TR (CVN-71) somewhere near Guam in 2017. This was a MAX power Case I launch off catapult 3 on a day training sortie.
The aircraft carrier always points into the wind during flight operations. Often times, this means that the ship is driving towards inclement weather. This was the case here.
Around time 6 00, the rain starts and the winds pickup.
Around time 7 30, the winds intensify and I can no longer see beyond the bow. The deck crew doesn’t miss a beat and keeps it coming! Luckily this was an isolated storm that we passed thorough quickly.
Just another day on the boat. Fly Navy!
