Munich G7 Highlights: World Leaders Planes

Dear friends, aviation / planesposting as it’s best! This Munich G7 Summit this year brought some nice visitors for planespotters: German Air Force: Flagship A340 The two long-haul Airbus A340-300 aircraft (originated from Lufthansa) were put into service by the German Air Force in March / August 2011 following a general technical overhaul and interior conversion. Thanks to a range of 15,200 kilometers, the four-engine jets can reach almost all major destinations around the globe non-stop. The cabin layout includes a travel and conference room and a private area. The rear delegation area is occupied by 24 business and 92 economy seats. In total, the Airbus A340-300 can carry 143 passengers. If necessary, up to four passenger transport units can be fitted for the transport of wounded and sick people for intensive medical patient care. The two Airbus A340-300s of the Special Air Mission Wing have the tactical markings 16 01 (“Konrad Adenauer“) and 16 02 (“Theodor Heuss“). Both planes are nice for planespotting. Air India One In 2016, the Boeing 777-300ER was selected. The new aircraft, with specially-designed liveries, entered service in October 2020, replacing the Boeing 747-400s operated for the missions by Air India. The aircraft is fitted with encrypted satellite communication, advanced navigation aids, an advanced missile warning system, a missile deflecting shield and electronic countermeasures so as to provide protection from any ground-based or airborne threats and flares and glares for misleading missiles. This machine is also welcome for planespotting.
