Vakhtang Kikabidze - I’m In Love With Hundred Women. Although being quite popular as a drummer / singer for Orera, after he performed the role of Mimino in the eponymous film, Vakhtang Kikabidze hit superstardom throughout the USSR. This triggered him to launch his successful musical solo-career, which made him a household name in Georgia also in the musical regard. Yet, his first solo album, and by far his best work, featuring Orera members, is often sadly overlooked. It presents an interesting synthesis of Georgian urban folk and oriental nuance with Western pop, funk and soul music, with piano and analog synthesizer-led sound typical of its time.
