Protests swept Venezuela after Nicolas Maduro won the presidential election. Demonstrators are tearing down images of the president, demanding his resignation, demolishing monuments to Hugo Chavez and blocking traffic. On the streets, including in Caracas, oppositionists (as local media write, pro-American) . They organize protest marches, in some cities they try to break into polling stations and tear down posters of Maduro on billboards. In the capital, thousands of protesters have mounted motorcycles and are occupying the roads. The media are writing about the closure of a section of the Pan-American Highway (pictured) - this is a network of roads in America with a total length of 30 km with a branch to Caracas.
