Alla prima portrait - In my art studio

Today I’m showing you the painting process of a commissioned portrait, for which I used a reference photograph, which made it quite a struggle. My palette consists of the colours ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, alizarin crimson, cadmium red medium, burnt sienna, cadmium yellow medium and deep and titanium white. All of them are Van Gogh - Royal Talens, except for alizarin crimson, that one is Georgian - Daler Rowney. I’m using bristle Da Vinci brushes and to clean them a little bit of Gamsol.
