Remote Carrier demonstrator released and operated from flying A400M for the first time

The world’s first successful launch, handover, and operation of an FCAS Remote Carrier demonstrator from a flying A400M was performed by the Bundeswehr Technical Center for Aircraft and Aeronautical Equipment BAAINBw, and German Aerospace Center DLR in close collaboration with Airbus and industry partners SFL and Geradts. Along with this demonstration, the A400M was tested and evaluated for its new future role in the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) - to serve as a #UAV launcher. This adds another key capability to the most advanced multi-role airlifter operated by military forces around the world.
