Written just before moving my life from LA up to the Bay Area. I’d been at my mom’s, haphazardly building a 120sq foot tiny house in her driveway (to afford coastal living on a artist’s budget) that took my life savings, every ounce of skill I had and a great deal of my personal calm. I was also infatuated with someone who only casually registered my existence and I was over all of it.
Of course I had to go and write ‘run where the sun will shine every day’ which is hilariously inaccurate for my soggy foggy coast, but I’ll call it creative license - metaphorically speaking. Filmed during a brief interlude of sunshine on the bluffs in Half Moon Bay (I may edit up and post a darker version of this video from the other, foggier takes if I can get my act together). Knit sweater, linen skirt, and harp design by me. First track off my 3rd album, ’Lost in January’,
