Battaki (Grasshopper Swarm) from Andō Umeko’s album “Ihunke“

A clip from the song “Battaki“ by Andō Umeko. I have little confidence in the short translation of the lyrics below. This is a folk song that comes from Eastern Hokkaido, about being enveloped by swarms of grasshoppers, but I cannot distinguish whether the singer is human, or a grasshopper, or if it switches back and forth. Here, I have assumed the singer is human. I appreciate comments and clarifications. ハエイー ハエイー Haeii haeii トカチ エソオロ ハエイー ハエイー In the area of Tokachi haeii haeii ハ チコチャケタ ハ チコカバケ ハ チウトモトキー My knees give out from under me ハエイー ハ
