157: PNSO Himalayasaurus (Tucson 2021) Review

We’ve had quite a run of marine animals from PNSO and this time continues that trend with an ichthyosaur, surely one of the most iconic of sea reptile groups. And not just any common ichthyosaur, but a large shastasaurid. This is Himalaysaurus, a surprising choice since it is based on fragmentary remains, compared to the better known Shonisaurus or Shastasaurus. This is a simple model, yet beautiful in its simplicity with a paint job that lends much interest to a very good sculpt. This Himalaysaurus adds to a growing number of sea reptiles from PNSO, and I’m hopeful that we are going to see more from this outstanding company!
