Bo Harwood - Selections from Last Room on the Right [JOHN CASSAVETES SOUNDTRACK COMPILATION]

In 2013, Bo Harwood uploaded a compilation album entitled Last Room on the Right to his website, which collected the music he had made over the course of his collaborations with John Cassavetes. It’s a fantastic collection of music, and I have included a download link to the full, original version of the compilation at the end of this description. However, I thought a really amazing singer-songwriter type album could be cut together from the compilation, more in the vein of something like Jackson C. Frank. In doing so, I cut 7 tracks from the original compilation (including songs I would greatly recommend such as “It Was Quiet“, “The Love Streams Operetta“, and ““I’ll Leave It Up To You“ which didn’t fit into the concept I had for this compilation), cut down 2 of the improvised jam tapes from the original compilation (“This Year Will Never Come Again“ and “Say Hello Before Goodbye“), and did some shuffling with the tracklist. I think this results in a much more cohesive listening experience that feels like a great lost lofi singer-songwriter album from the 70s. In the following tracklist, each track is tagged in square brackets with the Cassavetes project it was recorded in conjunction with or used in after-the-fact.
