me speechless. He never failed to. He entered the ring with such power and strength, I was awed. He was my favorite horse out there. He was one of the best. Hickstead and Eric were examples of the ideal pair. They demonstrated how horsemanship should be. They were my idols. Hickstead was taken from the world way to soon. But we have to remember the good things about Hickstead, not his last tragic moments where he fell victem to a heart attack. Remember him as he was, flying through the air with his best friend. Hickstead loved what he did and was afraid of nothing. Remember who he was, not how he died. Hickstead 1996-2011
