600 Overkill vs. 500 Nitro Express. “And the winner is.....“

Here’s a synopsis of what we’ve learned from shooting soft point and solid bullets from these two rifles into 24 inches of solidly packed phone books. The results surprised us! Shooting solids at the same velocity the 500 Nitro penetrates further than the Overkill. Shooting soft points the 600 Overkill out-penetrates the 500 Nitro while holding onto most of it’s mass!
