Crow Country is about a place you can go to, to visit the people you’ve loved and lost. Directed by Cody Duncum and filmed in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana.
Korby Lenker got the idea for the song from a book called “American Places“ written by Wallace Stegner. An essay under the same name begins with a quote from Crow Chief Arapooish in 1832. “Crow Country is in exactly the right good is to be found there.“
The song was written and performed by Korby on clawhammer banjo and features the singing and flute playing of grammy-award winning Native American artist Bill Miller.
Co-starring Ashley Rickman of Fishtail Montana.
Crow Country is the second single on Lenker’s 8th studio album ’Man in the Maroon’, dropping on GrindEthos records May 21.
