43mm FA Limited f1.9 Lens + Pentax K10D | CCD Sensor Shines Again | Backyard Series Ep. 3
My Pentax K10D 10 megapixel DSLR camera with a Pentax FA Limited 43mm f1.9 lens. A beautiful pairing, if you can get used to the focal length. I love the look of the older CCD sensor paired with this early-nineties designed lens. You’ll notice a few higher-ISO shots mixed in there. Trust me, you’ll see them ;) That high iso look of these earlier CCD sensors has a distinct look. I think at 400-800 it actually can look pretty cool, maybe mostly because it just reminds me of a different era. That’s all subjective anyway :)
The Pentax K10D is just so much camera for the price, and if you’re eyeing any of the many film era Pentax glass than it’s a beautiful kit for vintage lenses. I bet the Nikon D80’s/Canon 40d’s are similarly good for that reason. Still wanting to get my hands on some to test out.
I show a couple shots of the lens with a lens hood on, but I don’t think it’s necessary really. I was just using it for the expanded filter size :)
