The Pretty Flowers “Police Me“ - Official Video

Taken from the single “Police Me“ release on Double Helix Records February 27, 2024 Edited by: Sean Christopher Johnson “Police Me” was written some years back, after we’d finished recording Why Trains Crash. I think it was the first song we had finished as a band following WTC. We recorded the song with Adam Lasus at Studio Red during the first A Company Sleeve session in 2019, but by the time we got to the point of figuring out the track list for that album, we couldn’t come up with a spot where “Police Me” made sense. Some friends of ours who were helping to figure out the track listing actually campaigned pretty hard for the song to be on ACS, but we inevitably wound up leaving it off as a possible b-side for a potential single later on. Before we get too deep into the next Pretty Flowers album we’re currently working on, we wanted to make sure people heard “Police Me” before it started to feel like ancient history to us. Besides, we think it’s a good one!
