If you have more experience with Kusudama assembly, then you could try smaller ones. The measurements of the papers from the Oleo Dodecahedron in the video are: Blue - 7.5 cm / 3 in x 3 in; Yellow - cm x cm / 1.5 in x 1.5 in.
