Vicious Pink Phenomena’s Cccan’t You See 7“ did have a different working title, it was, Back In Your Arms Again. How we made the vocal rhythm by Brian Moss - Jose’s vocals were recorded direct to multi track as normal procedure (the verses and most of the chorus were not samples) We then decided to sample onto the Fairlight, different lines and words from Jose’s vocals, directly from the 2” multi track tape (this was an idea we came up with in the studio) Then we mapped them out onto the keyboard (Mapping = assigning samples to a key or keys across the keyboard) Then I could be play each vocal line or lyric individually, record them onto the Fairlights sequencer then it was recorded to the multi track. 1: “Can’t yer…Broke up.. wa wa wa…You went” (the “wa” was from want) 2: “Br br br br up you went” (Br from broke) 3:“Want you want you went” 4: “You you you you went want want want to be” 5: “You you you you you you br br br you went want want to be”
