Vaughan Williams - Vocalise No 1 for Theremin and Clarinet
Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Vocalise“, arranged for theremin and clarinet. Composed in the last year of his life, the work combines mastery of melodic pastoralism with unexpected modernist angularities. As theremin and clarinet interweave, they create creating shimmering difference tones and harmonics. Recorded under coronavirus lockdown, April 2020.
