A Deaf-And-Dumb Love
At a cozy small table
I finished drinking my coffee
And suddenly a face flickered –
It was a beautiful, nervous profile.
It followed me
As a shadow without disappearing.
I felt with my back
That the look pierced me.
We vainly appeal to the love more often
In our deaf and dumb world,
In a cold darkness.
No one will hear us,
No one will caress us
And only at the daybreak
The dawn burns us.
A deaf-and-dumb love
Was knocking at the windows.
A deaf-and-dumb love
Was knocking at the doors.
