Carbuncle Upper Arm in a diabetic patient - Dr Narotam Dewan, Dewan Hospital

Diabetes is a notorious disease, it lowers the immunity of the patient and makes the patient prone to infections. One such infection is the development of Carbuncle due to Staphylococci. It is usually present at the nape of the neck or on the back but it can develop rarely on other sites to in the body. This lady developed this on her upper arm. It is often accompanied by hyperglycemia and septicemia which have to be controlled too.
