Leopoldo SIGNORETTI ~ Di pescatore (LUCREZIA BORGIA - Donizetti) - 1901

Leopoldo Signoretti (1846 or 1850 - 1915) . Signoretti’s debut in 1876. After seasons in Genoa, Verona, Livorno and Bolognia he moved up through the provincial Italian houses, appearing in at the Costanzi in Rome, 1886, as Eleazar in *La Juive*. He repeated the same role in *La Scala* two seasons later. Aside from singing throughout Italy, Signoretti also appeared in Spain (at the Madrid Reale for several seasons), France and South America. While his repertoire included dramatic roles such as Manrico and Rhadames, he als sang with success Almaviva in *Il Barbiere di Siviglia* (at the Rome Costanzi in 1900) and Nemorino in Donizetti’s *L’Elisir d’Amore*. His 6 ultra-rarest records for “Zon-o-phone“ (Disco Zonofono) made in 1901-1902, the year he retired..
