“Driving Home For Christmas“ is a remarkably well composed tune - by Chris Rea. It was released in 1986 as a B-side to the single “Hello Friend“. Every year it seems to gain greater popularity. Chris said at one point; …. the year this song was written I was quite a happy chap. There was something infectious and disarming about the melody, lyrics and rhythm of the songs I was writing at the time. My version here was played on an EWI4000S with a Brecker voicing.
