Cloudy Glen was owned and bred by the late Trevor Hemmings, and a son of Cloudings - the much-loved stallion that Hemmings himself stood, and responsible for his Grand National winer Many Clouds among others. Hemmings’ famous green and yellow quartered silks are carried to victory in one of the most famous races of the jumps season and just days after the memorial service in his honour, for trainer Venetia Williams and jockey Charlie Deutsch. It was 23 years ago that Venetia Williams trained Teeton Mill to win the Ladbrokes Trophy - then the Hennessy - while Hemmings has now won the race more times than any other owner following the earlier successes of Trabo
