Barnardo Children (1956)

Kelvedon, Essex. All children love animals, especially at the Barnado’s children’s home in Kelvedon. M/S children lined up in a row, pan down to various pet animals. C/U girl with rabbit. M/S tiny children and one coloured baby , and one small boy holding a teddy. Nurse with two children. M/S as the PDSA van arrives and the children walk towards it. The van doors open and a large dog leaps out. It’s a Pyrenean Mountain Hunting dog, called Jenny. The children all crowd round - different nationalities. C/U baby watching. M/S babies sitting in a plastic paddling pool, with nurses wearing blue uniforms and white pinafores, nearby. The dog is brought up to them.
