Cuts (rushes, out takes) for Colour Pictorial CP 611. The original story is on *PM0377* The shots are similar to those used in the edited story COTE D’AZUR but also include: lots of oranges, a sunset shot near the marina at Monte Carlo, the carnival floats in procession, mimosa flowers being packed - establishing shots of the boats and the coast and harbour area. Good shots of the buildings in Monte Carlo and tracking shots along the coast roads. 01:54:56 - 02:03:13 There is a long sequence showing the mimosa flowers being harvested and packed, and then preparations for the ’Fetes du Citron’ There are scenes of the carnival both in the day and at night. A boy in carnival dress is tossed up and down in a large blanket, and people throw and are covered in confetti. At night we see huge papier mache faces and one with large blinking eyes.
