M/S of a man watching birds through binoculars from a hide; L/Ss show geese feeding in a field. A girl, Maya Scull, looks at swans through binoculars from a window of a house by a lake; she makes drawings of swans beak markings; commentator explains that director of the trust, Peter Scott, discovered that no two swans ever have the same beak markings. Several shots of swans on the lake; Bewick swans with pinkish markings on their bills are seen.
Various shots of ducks. Other researchers look through binoculars from the hide. Numerous varieties of birds are fed on a lake by a man with a wheelbarrow.
