Rhine Wine Festival (1964)

Germany. Travelogue style story about the Rhine Wine Festival. Cruise on the Rhine. Castles seen from the boat, views of the riverbank including the legendary Lorelei (sp?) Rock. Uberveisel (sp?) is one of the places passed in the cruise. Coach tour - holidaymakers seen on a coach enjoying the views. Various shots of timbered buildings and shops of German town. (Village is named but no paperwork to confirm name - Rudesheim?) Oom-pa band play at an outdoor cafe. Various shots of the band members. Tourists buy cigars. C/U of goods in a shop window including beer mugs. Parade through the town - lots of dancing and marching bands. Chair lift (or cable car) transports people over the vineyards. Various shots of grapes being harvested - nice footage of an elderly couple at work on a hilly area of vines. The Germania (sp?) statue. Tourists take photographs. Barges moving along the Rhine.
