Research Into Hair (1960)

M/S in hair dressing salon at Beecham Laboratories in Brentford, Middlesex; two women at the left are sitting under hairdryers, a woman at the right is having her hair set and a man comes into shot to take the middle seat. M/S as a barber fits a circular apparatus to the man’s shoulders - it looks like a basketball hoop. C/Us as he places a piece of white fabric over it and fastens it round the man’s neck (presumably to catch the cut hair), and of various hair cutting instruments on a table as a hand comes into shot and picks up some electric clippers. C/Us as the barber clips the man’s hair, then of the table as he replaces the clippers and picks up a pair of scissors and comb; the man’s hair being cut and the hair falling on the white fabric. M/S as the hair cut is finished; C/U as the barber brushes the cut hair into a pile on the fabric and takes off the apparatus.
