Model School In Mayfair (1964)

Mayfair, London. (beware - other Colour Pics share this title) A young girl walks along the street and goes into a building. She arrives at the modelling school, and looks very sloppy and ungainly. Can they make her into a model in 3 weeks? They measure her and we see some girls limbering up and doing exercises in black leotards, side stretches, one on her back ’bicycling’. The girls walk about with books on their heads. The model school is run by Cherry Marshall. Maggy Wood trains the girls to put on make up, with some close shots of lipstick being put on, and false eye lashes being fixed. The girls give a fashion show with swim wear and evening dresses, including the sloppy girl who is now a vision of elegance, wearing a pale pink evening gown. Note : see also CP 487 Cuts.
