The Buttermere Waltz - Simon Mayor, violin

The Buttermere Waltz is played here by its composer Simon Mayor in his new arrangement for violin. The recording features on the album ’When Summer Comes Again’ (released Nov 2021) by Simon Mayor and his long-time partner Hilary James. It was originally written for mandolin and first appeared on his 1991 recording ’The Second Mandolin Album’. Simon regularly hosts residential workshops for mandolinists and fiddle players.
