This guitar still has its original pickups, these are the stock ceramic pickups from Peavey and produce a more abrasive tone than a warmer Alnico pickup, this however suits some and the binus is that there is alot of clarity in each not and also in full chords so unlike alot of cheap ceramic pickups (as can be found in fender mexican strats and squire strats) these are more akin to a higher end ceramic pickup - not quite an EMG but close.
