Zereshk Polo ba Morgh (Traditional Persian Barberry Rice with Chicken) - Cooking with Yousef

Hi friends, today I will be making “Zereshk Polo ba Morgh“ (زرشک پلو با مرغ) which is “Barberry Rice with Chicken“. If you’ve been following this channel, you will notice that I have already made a version of this dish in another video. This one is a traditional Zereshk Polo prepared and served as you might find in a Persian household or at an Iranian Restaurant. The original video with Cornish Hen made in the oven is here: Ingredients: - 4 Cups of Rice - 3 Quarters of Chicken (Leg and Thigh) - 1 Cup of Barberry - 1 Tablespoon Butter - 3 Tablespoon Tomato Paste - 1 Onion - 1 Lime or Lemon Juice - Liquid Saffron (6-7 Tablespoon) - Cooking Oil - 1 Teaspoon Salt - 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper - 1 Teaspoon Turmeric - 1 Teaspoon Coriander Seed Powder - 1 to 2 Tablespoon Sugar (or equivalent sweetener)
