I was trying to figure out if I can get position from a ray query in engine but then I learned all I needed was already given to me, distance. Since I can get distance from a ray query for the hud cursor to the level mesh it is easy to get a valid vertex in a direction at that distance. So I decided to test this by allowing myself to drag and drop NPCs around with the cursor by holding and releasing a key.
Too bad anomalies don’t hurt stalkers anymore. That would be some good fun. Maybe I can drop them on
